Kitchen Layouts for 2017!

It’s a new year and we all know what that means, a new kitchen! So let’s get this started and delve deep into some of our favourite kitchen layouts for this year, including designs for small kitchens, and why we love them!

Galley Layout

These are often known as corridor kitchens and are narrow in length. They are great when it comes to making the most of a small space and are therefore best suited for people living in an apartment or a studio flat. The style means you can access everything with ease with minimal distractions. The parallel counter-tops with a walkway between also gets rid of any awkward corner cupboards!

Horseshoe Layout

This layout generally features three walls of cupboards and cabinets and allows those in the kitchen to avoid any traffic within the house. It is often featured within the same room as the dining room which creates its horseshoe or U type shape. Lighting isn’t an issue as the middle of the U shape has a window allowing natural light to shine through. The only downside is that it is too small for an island.

L Shape Layout

This layout is the most common one to choose from as it suits most people’s open plan living space. This layout features two walls complete with appliances and counter-tops and allows you to place a large table or island in the middle of the room. This is a great layout for socialising in and with the benefit of an island, you can prep food while talking to guests.

G Shape Layout

This is best suited for people with a lot of space, as its full of counter space and room for numerous appliances. It features a lot of generous space and room to move about! What’s not to love?
